I actually think he did it.

But let me put this out there first; based on the available evidence at the time, I don't think the jury actually had enough to convict him. They just found a scapegoat, which imo just happened to be the correct one in this case.

Why do I think he did it?

Well I'm looking at it from the other angle; if not Adnan, who was it? I don't see anyone else in play here who had an incentive to kill her. So unless we have a completely unknown entity (like a serial killer or a sex offender) I can't imagine anybody else involved in the mess actually killing her. I remember in the penultimate episode they brought up the fact that there was some known sex offender being on the loose those days, so I dunno how that will play out, so again, unless we have a new player like that, it has to be Adnan.

Next, Sarah's assistant mentioned this too. Imagine if he didn't do it, then the amount of shit went down those few days against him to make things look so bad for him is just unbelievable. He had to be pretty damn unlucky.

And from listening to the whole thing, I sort of have a plausible explanation for what actually went down. I think Jay was not an accomplice after the murder, I think he was there when it happened, when Adnan killed him. But he didn't actually kill her, probably stood by. Which is why Adnan can't actually point the finger at him; there's no real incentive for Jay to kill her, and so the only way to point the finger at him is to admit he (Adnan) was there too, so you basically have to admit they both killer her. So he just can't blame it on Jay.

After listening to Serial, I certainly was sitting on the fence but leaning on he's guilty. But I have since changed my mind to he's not guilty.

re: Yes, the conviction itself is crazy given the evidence. There is plenty of reasonable doubt. Not least the lying liar who lies Jay's testimony. If you can even call it that.

Things you may not be aware of since Serial in the appeals.

The appeal was in 3 parts
1) adnan's lawyer failed him by not contacting potential alibi witness Asia Mclean
2) the state did not disclose a disclaimer fax sheet cover which stated that the cell phone pings are NOT accurate to determine location
3) adnan's lawyer failed to use this fax sheet to the benefit of adnan


Asia Mclean who was the girl who saw Adnan at the library during the time of the murder - came forward and testified to what he she saw under oath.

The cell tower location pings which were used to corroborate Jay's story has been thrown out because they have been found to be unreliable as a source of location. There was a disclaimer cover sheet which said this - aka they are unreliable.

In the appeal the judge said this
1) adnan's lawyer failed him by not contacting asia BUT it did not matter because based on what he has seen the state's case and timeline of hae's death is totally bogus and he's surprised anyone believed jay's stories

2) adnan's laywers failed him in attacking the cell phone tower pings disclaimer saying they are not accurate because it is Jay's story + the pings that make the case..

both have been found to be bs so he's vacated the decision and adnan will either get a new trial or the state can appeal this judges decision.

now if we get back to if not adnan - who? my money is strongly on the boyfriend at the time of hae's death. he was never investigated and can be as guilty as adnan.

and if adnan did do it, then i'd like to know how because id do not believe Jay for 1 second. he lied so many times and i am 95% convinced he was coerced by the cops to change his testimony to match the pings. do you know he even gave another interview last year and he changed his STORY AGAIN? so its like 7 different stories he's fkn told. and the state used that with the pings to someone place adnan at their time of death

and if you think people can get unlucky. then look no further than the steven avery case. when the cops want to prove YOU did it, they will find a way.

another thing you might be unaware of is the Undisclosed podcast - it was a spin off podcast done by 3 people. 2 lawyers and rabia chaudry who is a family friend of adnan. and from the get go they say our pod is biased towards adnan but they go deeper and deeper into all things serial never did. and it is impossible to believe that adnan did it after you listened to that show.

there blow a lot of smoke but there are lots if info that serial never found or went deeper into in the case. but keep in mind one of the lawers on this pod is the one who discovered the disclaimer fax sheet in the paper work so its really down to her that adnan is staying alive. so these people know what they are doing.

and really it is this podcasts efforts that have got adnan his vacated decision so they carry a lo of weight in the work that they did for adnan.

Yes I do not believe Jay at all, most likely he was coerced.

The other boyfriend was not investigated at the time and now it's def. too late, so they'll never be able to prove that he did it. Now the only way for Adnan to go free is to show enough doubt to show that he didn't do it.

I don't give a lot of weight into testimonies that say Adnan was 'not that kind of guy' though, that's just bs. So yeah, if her BF at the time had something to do with it, maybe, otherwise I don't know who else.
