Unorthodox - Netflix - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9815454/
A peepshow into the highly traditional Hasidic Jewish culture and one woman who breaks free from it

For All Mankind - Apple - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7772588/
An alternate history story of what would have happened if the Space Race had not ended when the US landed on the Moon.
Some technical issues are there wrt to space but ignore that stuff cuz the backend of the season is truly brilliant

Devs - HULU - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8134186/
Sci-Fi story about a Tech Giant who has a mysterious Devs team that is working on a highly secretive project. It's by Alex Garland (Ex-Machina, Annihilation)

World on Fire
- https://www.imdb.com/title/tt8001092/
WW2 story about families involved in the war from the UK to Austria. Interesting take because its not focusing on the military aspect but the regular people and their families

Currently watching For All Mankind with Mrs and absolutely loving it b

It's really cool how they weave in real history into the story. I wish this had been reality

RE: TV Series Thread - Charu26 - 05-11-2020

Finally got around to watching the final season of man in the High Castle, so far so good, although the series finale has drawn some negative reviews.

RE: TV Series Thread - mugatiya - 05-11-2020

About to finish My Brilliant Friend S2.

So beautiful once again. Such a tender and lovely story. Margherita Mazzucco and Gaia Girace are absolute stars.

Also Nino Saratore is a fooking ****.

War of the World

Just finished watching this and it's absolutely brilliant.

Muga I think you'd particularly like it.

It's a VERY slow burner, so be ready to invest some time, but it's completely worth it. It's the same H.G. Wells story but given a new spin (I don't want to spoil it, but it's a lot more personal than any adaptation before), and I absolutely love it. And for a change it's taking place in France and UK although mostly in English. I really love how they actually take a deep look at the implications of a alien attack rather than showing just fireworks.

Can't wait for next season, sucks we won't see one soonish because of COVID.

Yes I got to know about this because I am currently fangirling on Daisy Edgar-Jones (from Normal People) and she's in this too. Who as you know by now is my new celebrity girlfriend Heart

Thanks for letting me know it's good. Will DL later today!

In turn I will push Normal People on you. Defo give it a go. It's a very very raw and real take on your first loves, growing up and other topics. The two leads are incredible.

Ooh didn't know she was in other stuff but yeah she's super cute. Actually she does a great job in her role, good acting.

Alright will give it a go, now I have extra motivation too. Spy

Cobra Kai is surprisingly good. Based on The Karate Kid movie
