KSA take a bow!

But what’s with these 10+ ET’s in each game lol

Two nasty injuries took a lot of time in both those games. That's the only reason I can think of. Did they not stop the clock or something? Weird

What's stopping SL? Finances? Too hot to play in SL?

Get the feeling Aus will come close against an injury hit France.

The refs stop the clock but the broadcasters don't. Around 90+8 min one of Saudi guy was complaining and the Ref showed 3 fingers and they stopped the match around 12 min.

During 70s and 80s Football in the North and East was huge. Even in early 90s it was big. When my dad played, good matches would draw 3000 to 4000 people to the ground. Teams used bring Saudi, Iran, Singapore and Malaysian players for the playoffs. One of the unwritten rules is that the Free Kick and Penalty is taken by the guy that was tripped/fouled not just anyone. Even now most Tamil boomers and those born before 80s mostly watch Football and cricket.
