RE: Australia tour of Sri Lanka 2022 - Perthman - 06-17-2022

Great unexpected win ! I too went to sleep when Warner got out and saw the last 2 wickets . Chamika I think is one of those guys who loves to show off and thinks he is better than he actually is . But in cricket that Is not necessarily a bad thing. He has the belief and gives 100% but he needs to be given more responsibility in this team. I feel he is very underused especially as a bowler . Good to see him doing well.
Very impressed with Wella. In batting he did look like a deer headlines but I have a feeling he has got something very special . Seems to be a confident young man with his bowling and fielding , so with time he should be good with batting in the big stage too as he has shown in U19s.
Vandersay unfortunately doesn’t look like going anywhere. Only saw his first 2 overs but didn’t look impressive at all. Time to move on.

No we need someone to build an innings and is capable of hitting a century. I dont think Bhanuka would be able to consistently do that.

Who do you think will fit to that requirement? I don't see anyone capable of doing that in the current set up.

I would rather keep Dhananjaya in there. When Avishka returns, it will be easier too.

You wanted someone who could hit a century and DdS has not hit a century in 55 ODI innings and his overall ODI record is relatively poor.

I believe Nuwanindu will be a serious contender in a year too. Dudes been scoring runs in England and now against Aus too. Different format sure, but runs are runs

Still a more reliable batter than Bhanuka and can at least bowl

I didn't mention Bhanuka at all. I only asked who would best fit in to the role you described and you said DdS. But his record doesn't show he will fit in to that role and I can't think of anyone in the current set up that will fit in to that role. That is all I am saying.

Yeah thats fair. In that case, like I said just wait it out until Avishka returns.
