Kumara breaks down too often in test matches. Hasnt he broken down in 5 tests or something.  Anyway, I meant in comparison to my original comment about playing him over Rajitha.  Apparently Kumara is injured even now which explains why he isn't playing. Anyway, I doubt we`ll play 3 spinners. We should give our pace battery practice for Australia. Who would be the third spinner?

I was saying 3 spinners for tests, not for t20s.

I dont like this projected xi. Mendis pushed down to 4. Ramesh mendis as the third spinner. How did he become the third best t20 spinner? Sandakan and Akila were both top 15 before they got dropped. Anyway we should play a third seamer

Where do you think Kusal Mendis should bat with him keeping wickets as well?

It says the pitch could be tacky and slow due to prevailing weather conditions in Colombo. I guess playing 3 spinners could be advantageous rather than an extra quick in such conditions. That said it could backfire if there is dew or wet conditions. Anyway we should play to our strengths rather than thinking too much about the opposition.

If quinton De Kock, butter and dickwella can why cant Kusal Mendis open? Look at these stats.

I believe we need to find a formula for the t20 world cup where we will realistically be playing 3 seamers.

The playing XI should be picked to suit the conditions.

Then where do Gunatillake and Nissanka bat or do you want to drop one of them? If you do, then who is going to replace the dropped player?
