A very close family member got it while they were pregnant and it was touch and go. So I’m acutely aware of how dangerous it can be.
I’m not saying it’s not a big deal. I’m saying if you’re vaccinated 3x or 4x or whatever it is we are now and continue to practice safe healthy practices that’s enough to continue living your life normally.
If you have elderly people that you regularly come into contact with then practice safety by not visiting them etc if you feel sick.
You can disagree with me but all I’m saying is we probably don’t need to end up in lockdowns and live in n fear anymore.
Having said that if it does come to such a stage I will obviously comply as I did before because I’m a decent human being that cares for others.
Muga;
I am in total agreement with your point. I misunderstood you to be someone like VP, discouraging taking the vaccines while playing down the virus's seriousness because he himself is obviously healthy and has a top-notch immune system.
YES, your bold highlighted part is what we need to follow. With older people, I heard recently that they don't even get fever since their body do not react to the virus (due to their aging body sensitivity), and for us all, the other alarming factor is, the new variant is not detected by the tests designed for the previous variants.
Can RSK please confirm or deny if that is the case in South Africa, too? I am just hearing these from our friendly doctors.
