Well he did hit 175 once
LF I am not having a go buddy but it was nice to see you so excited about the 175 prospect back in the day.

Podi Malinga aka The Pathi Express
Thanks VP.
Why is media reporting his 175kMH delivery as "debatable"?
When I watched him in SLC Invitational tournament, I was very curious to know his speed. They did not show the bowling speeds in the match telecasts. That other "podi Malinga" - Nuwan guy with a slinging action, delivers with a very slow speed.
This was recorded in none other than in a U-19 World Cup match against India, what more of a special occasion they accept as "non-debatable"?
So, if this was achieved by a bowler from India/England/Australia/South Afrca/Pakistan/NZ, under the same circumstances, it would have been a perfectly acceptable delivery and a speed, huh!
SLC should take the initiative to properly fine tune this bowler, may be send him to that pace bowling academy in India. One article mentioned about his follow through and landing foot have issues. May be those need to be corrected.
Hopefully, this special action would not bring him injuries.
