Let's see some ideas on how to make use of this venue. We don't have rock concerts, major boxing/UFC/WWE events and football/rugby competitions.

Turn it into a lawn bowls park for oldies.
They can move the stands/seating closer to the playing area to make sense of it as a cricket venue, but that's a lot of money for a ground that made SLC go bankrupt. Might as well spend that money to build another stand at Pallekele which is already hot property.
Pallekele could do with another stand

Agreed, but the low prices for grass banks is what drives bigger crowds to the games at Kandy.

I went to an Afg vs SL game, seats started from 2000 while grass banks were priced at 500.
Yeah, just one stand on the left side of the picture is enough. Leave grass banks near the scoreboard untouched.

What's the stand situ like at Hamba? Is everything a permanent stand? Or are they like aisles that can be broken down and put together again?

Btw, have they named a stand after Murali in Pallekele like they said they would? I watched the last 15-20 overs of that run chase. Didn't see anything.
Namal and Rajapaksha clan wanted this bigger stadium with the intention of hosting Common Wealth games in Hambanthota expense of SLC.
