Can anyone tell me if I was watching T20 played by Sri Lanka in another universe, during this period.
Quote:Close to 50 awards were presented for international and domestic performances between 1st September 2018 to 31st August 2019 in women’s and men’s categories. However, the biggest surprise was the omission of the Cricketer of the Year award.
It's hilarious there was no cricketer of the year award.
Thisara was the top scorer for SL in T20I during that period at SR 150.
The SL U19 team tour to the Caribbean seems to be going ahead after the British High Commission granted visas to the players who were refused visas by the US.
The British High Commission came to Sri Lanka Cricket’s aid by granting visas to five of the under 19 cricketers to travel to the West Indies via UK.
Sri Lanka Cricket secretary Mohan de Silva confirmed yesterday that the British High Commission had granted the visas to the five players and that they will travel with under 19 head coach Hashan Tillakaratne on Friday to the Caribbean.
The rest of the team will travel to the West Indies via USA. The team comprises 15 players and nine officials. The visa of seven Sri Lanka under 19 players was refused by the US embassy thus causing much consternation whether the tour would actually go ahead.
However the issue has been sorted out and Sri Lanka under 19 cricketers will travel to the Caribbean to take part in the Under 19 one-day tri-series with host West Indies and England.
This tournament is a fore-runner to the ICC Under 19 Cricket World Cup to be held in South Africa in January.
Saw earlier reports on him working as a consultant with Rumesh. Not sure why they can't let him take charge. After all, they are playing against the side he coached until recently.

I think this is the first time I've seen a role called consultant head coach. Having batting/bowling consultants for certain tours is nothing new. Murali for AUS, Mahela for ENG, Samare for NZ, etc.
wait so they are planning to reduce the teams this season itself? It's a good decision if it happens though. They're going to start the season late this time around. Wonder with the home tests that are scheduled vs England is going to affect this.
