Yeah, they would have only looked at the monetary value and ignored everything else.

SLC Should not give NOC to their contracted players to take part in any domestic leagues ahead of the upcoming T20i WC. Thoughts?
I agree with this guy, the IPL finishes on 16 October and our first match in the T20WC is on the 18th. Hasaranga and Chameera will go for the IPL right after playing 6 matches against SA (if they play all the matches). So there is a good chance of them playing continuously and a fair chance of getting injured or getting fatigued when thay arrive for the t20WC. There is a fair chance of losing two of our best players for the WC.

Hasaranga and Chameera will learn from IPL. So it is better for them to go to IPL than not. Hasaranga might get found out after IPL, but he may also learn and contribute.

I don't mind them playing in the IPL if it was not so close to the t20WC.
While the injury risk is a good reason, SLC is not in a position to object having made millions thanks to BCCI agreeing to play 3 extra matches and their team completing the tour after the virus hit.

Chameera will definitely break down, that boy gets injured all the time, worse after Pradeep.
