Cricket Committee is persuading MJ to take up a Consultant Coach role from next year. The deal will see him shuttling between national team, ‘A’ team and Under -19 team. No commitment from MJ as yet but he could come in provided there’s no extensive travel. Exciting times ahead.

MJ would be a fool to drop his mumbai indians gig for SLC coaching.

Agree with that

Someone else questioned the following too (was it StillWill during the match?)
I am not happy with the way Mouse sent Chamika ahead of Bhanuka in that match against the WI. Bhanuka is not a batsman who would play dot balls and screw up the innings. He would either hit out or get out, so with wickets in hand, Mouse had nothing to fear about. He had Hasaranga and Chamika to follow Bhanuka in that situation.
I know, we won that match, so lets move on, right? But, on another day, it would have been our opponent successfully chasing that total, and we all will be trying to see where we went wrong.
I feel that, if Bhanuka went into bat at that time, we could have ended up scoring at least 10 more runs, which is to reach 200 runs in a WC match, against a team like WI (the former world champions of this format). When India posted that 210 runs, it was against a Minnow team, so our score would have been highlighted very well. Micky Mouses's revenge taking moves, punishing ways of players, deprived us of that chance to shine, globally.
My final conclusion of Micky - a Very Idiotic coach!
Cricketers themselves credit the guy going out of their way, but you still say otherwise LF
Also two players he backed heavily and nurtured and cared for big time are currently world no1 in both batting and bowling.
Micky is good at building teams and laying the foundation imo.
He's required at the bottom of the Maslow's pyramid in cricketing terms.

Players normally praise the outgoing coach, specially when it's a foreigner. It's not something new or something to be surprised about. Arthur was very good in some areas like fitness, fielders and keeping the players together but weak in other areas such as match awareness and tactics. It is unfair and absurd to label him as a failed coach or an idiotic coach, I would say he did a decent job without being exceptional. He has made a decision to leave, I wish him good luck in his future endeavours.

Mixed feelings about Arthur leaving, don't feel like a massive miss but who will we end up with is the question, better the devil you know than the devil you don't know.

Arthur gave us Uthum Pathum. When we doubted ...esp his T20 skills. Our fielding has gone up so many notches. It could be because he dropped all the narkiyas.

Comments from the players highlight what I've suspected and commented on from the beginning. He's one of them coaches we need for a young team such as this who need mentors and guides where there are none in the team/set up.
He's clearly someone who builds strong relationships. And builds from the ground up. If that meant potentially keeping Grant Flower around for a bit I am not sure if its the worst outcome for us.
With 1 year to go another WC, this is a totally irresponsible hack job by SLC.

What if Arthur actually wanted to join Derbyshire? As I said earlier, the Derbyshire job didn't fall out of the sky. Arthur would have been in discussion with the county side after Houghton left few months back.
I don't think we need to keep Flower just to satisfy Arthur, that's sort of blackmail. It's not as if Flower has been even close to being good.
