Of all Jesus’ disciples, Peter is the most famous one. Peter was there at every sermon, at every miracle Jesus performed and even cut off an ear of a guard when Jesus was about to be arrested. But, Peter was not Jesus’ favourite disciple. The favourite disciple of Jesus was John. Like Jesus, every leader had his favourite disciple. Some of our political leaders had Mervyn Silva while some other leaders had Sagala Ratnayake. Cricketer Dilruwan Perera was one such having been coaches’ favourite disciple. He announced his retirement from international cricket yesterday.
What a start to an article.

My bad then lol.

Interesting to see what happens now. Probably this makes Naveen Nawaz Hobson’s choice. Or if it’s too early for him, let’s go back to the tried and tested Davenell Frederick Whatmore.

This is hilarious. Ditched the applicants. Went after two guys who didn't even bother to apply and got rejected.

Has anybody talked about Kusal Mendis's wicket keeping yet? My apologies if it was already mentioned here, but I have not found any reference to it.
Myself included, KM haters will have to bite the dust from now on, because he will be selected to the team no matter how average his batting is. I think, I mentioned about his from the way he kept wickets at the LPL. Galle Gladiators should have allowed him to keep in that final match of the LPL instead of giving the gloves to that foreign player who dropped a vital chance in that match.
Because, KM is a great slip fielder and dives so much to grab chances, he seems to be applying that special skill in his wicket keeping too. In that 3rd ODI match against Zimbabwe, he dived across the 1st slip to grab a catch, that is some talent! Then, how about that stumping? On the same day, De Kock stumped Iyer in the 2nd ODI (Venkatesh Iyer st †de Kock b Phehlukwayo 22), in identical fashion. Batsman's Foot was just a bit up in the air, and the bails were removed in lightning speed!
I am sure, if allowed to continue by our selectors and team's think tank, KM will be one of the best wicket keepers in the world. He is way better than even Dickwella, let alone Chandimal and KJP! Good for him!

Maybe I could have gone through every single post carefully if I had looted Chandrika's wealth, retired at the age of 45 and had all the time in the world

I noticed that too. Looks like he has put on a bit of muscle as well. To be honest, if he can average like 33 or + and can continue to keep like this I think he should just be the keeper. KJP is never going to average over 33+ it seems and right now in a rut. Chandimal shouldn't be anywhere near the team in LOI. Sad Sam is never going to be consistent. KM looks like the guy to go.
