Ramesh Mendis is an off spinner, I don't think the newbie will get to play.

That is not Pijja's writing, it is copy & paste from someone's  My3
He admitted, that he Google's a lot

Aiyo Belly, this is you admitting that only you have the knowledge and take others as fools. This is quite evident in your style of writing, asking for "Reps", saying you will stop posting comments if others don't acknowledge you, such childish stuff Doh

Yes, I google to get information and clarifications of things I am not sure about. Not only me, lot of people do so to get information. If you get some satisfaction by thinking it's not my writing, you are most welcome to do so. In fact, I will be happy that I was able to give your child mentality some sort of satisfaction. Tongue

Nissanka is our inform batsman and him getting a wrong decision very early in our innings reduced our chances of getting a competitive total. It's a pity, you can't understand this simple fact and try to bark up the wrong tree.

Are you the tree? and I am the dog? WTF Pijja! You are the fool and I may be your dog trying to guide my stupid master here.
you don't realize how pathetic could our team be to rely on just one batsman. Frusty

You are barking up the wrong tree again, Belly. Who said anything about relying on one batsman? Nissanka being the inform batsman could have made a big score to help us get to a competitive total. That doesn't mean other batsmen doesn't have to contribute. Why do you have such a childish mentality Huh

That's rebuttal you deserve when you move goal posts and act like a lunatic.

Again irrelevant to my point

Didn't we have a top performing off spinner at club level? Was it Manasinghe?

Yeah, appears he hasnt been performing lately though.

RE: Sri Lanka tour of Bangladesh 2024 - pj57 - 03-19-2024

I reckon, Nishan Peiris has been rewarded for his performance in the recently concluded 4-day NSL tournament. Peiris was the highest wicket taker with 24 wickets in 8 innings (4 matches). Manasinghe captured only 7 wickets in 5 innings (3 matches).

Think we need to persist with Sadeera. Meanwhile Asakanka is gold at 5 and a really really impressive start from Liyanage, far better than I expected when he was selected. Position 7 is work in progress. Can't drop Dunith after 2 games. He has the goodies. Chamika is another option. Wanindu and Theekshana may not be the options for ODI. Look at Akila and Wellalage

Wanindu should be persisted with. He is still young and has a very high ceiling in ODI, if we are to judge by his recent performances (except today). Akila in for Wellalage and Chamika in for Madushan, Kamindu in for Avishka, put Kusal as an opener and I'd say we have our best XI right there.

1. Bradman
2. Kusal
3. Kamindu
4. Sadeera
5. Asalanka
6. Liyanage
7. Hasaranga
8. Chamika
9. Akila
10. Asitha/Chameera (when fit)
11. Madushanka (when fit)

Wanindu's ceiling is very low, I actually rated him far below few years back. He is not a genuine spinner. This is what you will get from Hasaranga. This much achievement itself is huge for him.

Perhaps should go back to the stealther, at least he consistently scores 30s and 40s. Or K.Mendis can move up and can insert Kamindu Mendis if 33 year old rapists aren't good look for the team.

Nissanka
Digitizer
K.Mendis
Sadeera
Asalanka
Liyanage
Hasaranga
Chamika
Theekshana
Madushanka
Madushan ?

Or

Nissanka
K.Mendis
Sadeera
Asalanka
Kamindu Mendis
Liyanage
Hasaranga
Chamika
Theekshana
Madushanka
Madushan ?

You are probably too young for these two legends.

Wiiley, are you seriously a young guy in your 30s? Vandort played around 2006-2008 (his prime years, I believe), about 16-18 years ago.
