Whether we like it or not changes are going to happen. I personally have made up my mind to accept the fact and see where things go.

I just can't be arsed to post about DN cricket anymore and why its important.
Just let it happen and see if it sink or swim. Test crickets future outside the big 3 is what is at stake. 06-21-2015, 11:12 PM
Test cricket is mostly boring and its viewership is almost zero outside Australia, England and NZ maybe. Why do you need to to play a sport that no one's interested in watching? Can someone answer that, why play a sport if there's no audience for it, can you play a sport that has no audience?

Interest is there but outside well formed economies no one can afford to attend test matches paying hefty ticket prices and sacrificing a lot of time. But for the survival of the game, ticket sales are almost irrelevant. It's the TV deals that matter. Getting test cricket on prime time is the answer. How do you do that. DN Test cricket. There is a reason why the Perth test is the most watched test match on TV in an Australian summer. I've said it many times. Prime time on the Eastern Shores. 06-30-2015, 01:11 AM

"It will also be a source of rich dividends for the host broadcaster Channel Nine, whose chief executive David Gyngell expects television ratings and by extension advertising revenues far in excess of those offered for standard Test match days.
The Perth Test match is a great illustration of that. It's fanatically watched on the eastern seaboard of Australia every year because of the time difference. Our television ratings are something like 40 per cent more for the whole country." Whose been saying that all along then lads Hope this is a success. It's worth a go. And the pink ball can only get better.. 06-30-2015, 03:00 AM
