They also piped past SL's highest opening partnership of 335 by Sanath and Marvan against Pakistan in 2000. 336 is the 9th highest opening partnership in test cricket.

Chanderpaul unbeaten on 205, brings up the double with a six. What a marathon innings from him, faced 466 balls. In the meantime, Windies lost 5 wickets for 62. Windies declare at 447/6.

Excellent fight back by Zimbabwe led by Gary Ballance playing his first test after 6 years and his first for Zimbabwe. He last played for England in 2017. 8th wicket stand of 135 with Mavuta has helped them avoid the follow on and come within 68 runs of the Windies total.

Windies have lost both their century makers in the second innings with the lead on 121. Zimbabwe can still make a game out of this if rest of the Windies batting collapses. 80 overs left on the final day.
