Average score in the last 10 overs will be reduced. slight improvement. That's about it. I guess we won't get to see 5 outside the circle in middle overs again in ODI cricket.

Only the score in last 10 will be reduced. Ideally they should've brought back the 5 outside rule. And how come this is making it simpler for fans. Simpler solution would've been to just allow 5 outside, throughout the game. They brought the powerplays to make the game interesting and now they're ditching it to solve the side effects of some other stupid decision they made. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Rubbish. As if this is going to bring about balance between bat and ball in ODIs. How about go back to the rules before they screwed every thing up. Two new balls is the real culprit imo. That has not only taken reverse swing out of the game and hampered the slow bowlers, but since the ball will be max 25 overs old by the time the 50 overs is up it's a lot easier to whack around all throughout the game. That coupled with just 3/4 fielders outside the circle after the mandatory PP is just asking for trouble. Teams will be well set in most of the games with wickets in hand, especially when batting first, so an extra fielder outside the circle in the last 10 won't change any thing.
Vote for McLovin for world peace & all that good stuff.

Still its better than nothing.Good to hear about the axing of batting pp.Still 280-300 will be the norm.I personally won't mind this.5 fielders outside the 30 yard in the enntire 50 overs would make it so tough for the batters. Its 50-50 for both bat and ball in my opinion.

Relieved....watching one ODI inning was like watching two T20s crammed in !!!! These stupid committees get bored...hence tinker with the game...
