2007 game was gone after Gilly innings, 2011 we never had a chance after dew started settling in.
There maybe tense and competitive moments in this series, but if we get fold out tomorrow morning then you have to agree SA been the superior team and SL was just playing catch up both games.
Only way to save face is a win tomorrow.
I see where you're coming from then if you don't even consider those losses to be competitive ones. Maybe I didn't set the bar low, maybe it was you who set the bar unrealistically high, ever thought of that?
So you think expecting SL to win when they play is unrealistically high expectations and you are happy SL just turns up and don't embarrass themselves, fair enough if that's what tickles you.
Relax guys, I know it hurts to lose like this but no need for petty stuff. We kept everyone believing until the final day. Something that is rare these days in Test cricket.

Expecting this team to win in SA is unrealistic when it has only happened once in history. Couldn't even do it with Aravinda and the other favourites.
At least we gave them a good fight in the 2nd match.

Aravinda and others faced much much better south african teams.
Proud of the team no matter what anyone says. They can keep their heads held high. Still in with a shot for WTC final when we go back to our Galle Fort.
The most disappointing things about this series (apart from the 42) was that we gave Maharaj 5 wickets. We are supposed to be good against spin. It also diminished Prabath's efforts in the 2nd innings.
