Regarding the bold part:
What does that mean?
I never have any 'empathy or sensitivity' for LGBT and women's rights. I think it's important, and therefore I speak for it. I don't expect other people to care for it the same way, and I don't expect people to even 'respect' those. If someone wants to call them silly or stupid, be my guest.
But I do think people need to tolerate those rights.
And same goes for religion. I don't need to respect religion, or tread carefully around it. If I think it's stupid, I will call it so. However if I go on asking people to not practice their religion in peace, now that's not OK. That's not tolerating.
And you still haven't answered my original question. I guess you don't have an answer.
