I like Madushanka better than Madushan. Asitha is alright but so far has bat records. SL needs bowlers that can consistently bowl 140 and above.

As things are getting difficult for bowlers, gone are days where you have 3 bowlers and 2 all rounders. You need 6 genuine batsmen and 5 genuine bowlers, hoping that 2 out of those 5 bowlers can throw their hands can maybe average 15 to 20. I don't know if all rounders focus enough on bowling, but I see lots of all rounders don't use their brain when it comes to bowling.

This is what SL needs too. Maybe you keep Hasaranga in ODIs, but the rest 4 have to be genuine bowlers. No DDS(SR and Avg too low), no Chamika(neither a batsman nor a bowler), No Hemantha or any other crap all rounders. Maybe you keep Wellalage and maybe you bring in Kamindu Mendis if they do exceptionally well. But I just dont see this working for a long time. You need genuine skilled bowlers.

Also KJP and Shanaka needs to fk after this WC. So genuine batters only with strong defence against spin and pace. Batters need to consistently score runs. It is okay if the SR is a little slow at first, they can work it from there.

Chamika has been a better strike bowler for SL than frontline pace bowlers against good teams. So maybe don't ditch him until you have proper bowlers. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

On the basis that on these flat decks with no assistance, these guys would not have done well. The younger guys also don't have experience and still seem raw and not refined. The positive thing is that the batsmen have done relatively well. So that's good.

I guess Madushan can play a role with the new ball because he seems to be a natural when it comes to getting movement. Hard to be sure about anything though. These guys don't get enough games in one stint.

he hasnt looked like a world beater or anything but he has looked much more useful than pathirana, rajitha or shanaka at least. There is no basis to say he wouldnt make any difference even if the pitches aare not conductive
