I feel these selections are a result of the selection committee's prior affiliation with the players. As much as we would like to think Tharanga is being objective, there will always be a level of friendship involved when he picks certain players over others. I think the younger generation will find it tough under this selection committee...

I reckon selectors are looking at experience in the t20I side due to the up coming t20WC. I will wait till after the WC to give my opinion of the selectors. Not that they haven't given opportunities to few youngsters like Shevon Daniel and Kamindu Mendis.

Don't need power, need just someone who can score quick runs in powerplay use advantage of fielding restrictions. He can play 360, so he can spread fielders out at PP. Mahela used to do few shit like this when he opened. If he can SR at 135 at avg of 20 or more, I'd be happy.

Thushara isn't all that to be honest. But Chameera might not be available because he might be broken then or break during the WC.

Some selections have been really good, like Kamindu and Shevon. But other selections have been very strange. Let's see if they actually end up going with Dickwella for this series.
