I dont trust Chamika at all.

Shanaka at 7 (assuming Dickwella is 6) means you have to drop a batter, yeah? You have to play him at 8 to make the tail shorter.

I was thinking 5th seemer, 4th being Chamika and perhaps have DDS as the only spinner.

SL's most recent wins in seamer-friendly venues like Barbados (first Asian side to win there) and Port E (has a weird name now) were achieved with only 3 pace bowlers.

Im thinking rain, dew, cold weather in NZ may hamper spinners from gripping the ball, resulting in bad balls.

SL XI will have only one spinner maximum in seamer-friendly conditions anyway? I'm not talking about only NZ. That's how they usually go about it in those countries. Three pace bowlers and one spinner.

What SL can do with the bat in the first dig is vital. This is where IND failed in NZ the last time despite their fast bowlers doing well. NZ won both Tests comfortably. Somehow BAN managed to accumulate a good total and ended up winning a Test there. I think 3 fast bowlers are enough to do the damage if they hit the right areas, as many sides have done. It's the batting that needs to click early in the series.

Both Shanaka and Chamika are at best 4th seamers. I remember for a Test in India where we got a seaming pitch and played Shanaka as our 3rd seamer instead of Vishwa. I hope they don't do dumbass stuff like that; we should play our 3 best seamers - Asitha, Rajitha and either Vishwa or Kumara.

No, you brought it up by saying 'He rarely rolls his arm over these days, doesn't even bowl the full quota of 4 overs in t20s.'  That is the first instance of anyone talking about t20s.  If it is not eyesight issue what is it???

I am not going to continue this shit, no point because Shanaka is not even in the squad to tour NZ, rightly so. Just saying this is where it all started "For example, in the recent league he`s bowled his four overs way more than he does for SL".

This is hopefully the weakest Kiwi bowling lineup in years. No Jamieson. An old Wagner. Is Boult playing?


Guys like Latham, Nicholls and Kane are all SL medium pacer bashers. Given that and the fact our quicks always get injured, I`d like 4 quicks just in case someone gets injured or puts out a bad performance. May be overcompensating though of course
