With the #1 test team missing most 1st choice players in the XI, the #2 test team is most certain to win the WTC II final.

Predicted this result 35 days back. Can't expect to win vs full strength Australian outfit without our best test batsman Rishabh Pant, fast bowler Bumrah & #1 test bowler Ashwin(blunder on part of Rohit & Dravid). Practically missed five 1st choice players in Pant, Bumrah, Rahul, Iyer & Ashwin.

Btw good win for the Aussies, win handed on the platter by Rohit on the 1st morning when he asked Australia to bat first.

Hope we beat this Aussies in their den for 3rd consecutive time in Dec 24-Jan 25 five match test series.
Boland looked very exciting. Courtney Walsh like action
Comprehensive win for Aus in the end . It will be interesting when Hazlewood is fit . Starc should be the one to go.
As usual Indians coming out with lot of excuses LOL
BCCI will make sure the next finals will be in India so they will be able to win easily

India has to make the finals first Big Grin
Isn't there a rule saying it should be played in a neutral venue, otherwise it's unfair advantage to England isn't it

India have been fined 100 percent and Australia 80 percent of their match fees for slow over rates in the World Test Championship final, the International Cricket Council said Monday.

Indian batsman Shubman Gill was also docked 15 percent of his match fee for a social media outburst after he was controversially caught in the match at The Oval which India lost by 209 runs on Sunday.

The ICC said: “India were ruled to be five overs short of the target after time allowances were taken into consideration while Australia were found to be four overs short.” India skipper Rohit Sharma and his Australian counterpart Pat Cummins “pled guilty and accepted the proposed sanctions, so there was no need for formal hearings”, it added.

There was controversy on day four when Gill was caught by Cameron Green, but doubts were raised over the validity of the all-rounder's low, one-handed grab.

TV official Richard Kettleborough ruled it out.

Replays indicated Green had his fingers under the ball, but Gill posted a less definitive still image of the catch on Twitter shortly after stumps -- accompanied by two magnifying glasses and a “face palm” emoji.

The ICC said Gill's reaction amounted to “public criticism of, or inappropriate comment in relation to an incident occurring in an international match”.

One demerit point was added to Gill's disciplinary record.

They can make it to the finals because they are winning all the home matches.
