Batsmen who are said to have better technique are not going anywhere....are they? So why not give this guy a decent run and see what he can come up with. Runs is all that matters at the end of the day, no one remembers how you got it.
Angelo Perera is a good hitter. Has some very good shots. He looks much fitter these days as well
Yeah I think he deserves a place in the side. Even a player like Mathews has done so much with little technique.

But the problem now is Angelo Perera needs a really big season and needs to follow it up in the Provincials too.

Last time I don't think he played the provinical 4 dayer sadly.

He got to bat in just 3 innings in four ODI's and two t20 games played so far, that's a very small sample to judge anyone especially when others with worse records have been given plenty of opportunities but continue to fail.

Agree with pijz. Should have had a longer run. Terrific middle order player against spin in LO formats. We are struggling against spin too ATM.

His feilding and fitness was the biggest concern as i remeber.
He is a good fielder and safe with high balls.
^^ a low bar for ''Good''
I think he should be given the opportunity to play in the longer version of the game rather than the shorter versions. Maybe start with 4 day A team games and see how he progresses from there.
In my opinion he is more of a shorter version guy like T20 or odi. I can't understand why RS says his fielding not good. Have you seen him field.? Smile
I have seen him in action in the field
^^ yes. And it is a well known fact.
Looks like you are assuming things  Smile You flatly said Tharindu Mendis is not Jeewan's brother as you are 100 % sure.

Any evidence, reference from internet.?
