No bowlers have had good economy+ wickets yet. Vandesay getting clubbed

They wait for his usual 1-2 bad balls in an over and smack it for a boundary. I still think he has a spot in t20.

The 2nd day of the Major Clubs U23 Tournament Final was held today (22nd March) at R. Premadasa International Stadium as Moors SC clinched the title.

From the overnight score of 258/8, Ragama’s lower-order were able to add another crucial 35 runs to the total as they bowled out for 293. Overnight batter Shashika Dulshan scored a fighting half-century while Theesan Vithusan recorded a fifer.

After losing Romesh Mendis early in reply, Dinuka De Silva (44) and Sohan De Livera (72) put on a century stand for the 2nd wicket. Moors’ set batters chipped in quick succession as 3 down for 126.

However, skipper Mohammed Shamaaz and Janishka Perera added a brilliant 136 runs for the 4th wicket with both scoring fifties. From a comfortable position of 262/3, Moors SC lost their way as they were eventually, 9 down for 292 with 2 runs to take the lead.

But somehow, Shakour Razni held his nerve by taking his side to the lead. Shamaaz was their top scorer with a 73-run knock while Dellon Peiris bagged another fifer. Although the match ended in a draw, Moors SC became champions after winning the first innings.
