This is up to December 2010.

Indika Saram 304 for St Thomas, Matara in a U19 school match.

Indika de Saram of St. Thomas College Matara was the first batsman to score a triple century in under-19 schools cricket. His marathon innings of 304 contained 19 fours and 25 sixes and came off in 149 balls against Sri Devananda MV Ambalangoda at Matara in February 1993.

Dhammika Vaas Gunawardana hit a massive 310 for Maris Stella College against St. Peter’s College Negombo in February 1997. He hoisted 14 sixes and 36 boundaries for his knock.

Two junior cricketers Manoj Perera of Science College Mt. Lavinia and Rehan de Silva of P de S Kularatne MV Ambalangoda also made triple centuries. Manoj made an unbeaten 318 against Arethusa College in an under-13 match in 2001-02 season. Rehan scored 309 against Dharmasoka ‘B’ at Ambalangoda in an under-12 match in 2003-04 season.

In February 2009 Michael Vanhoff of St. Thomas College Kotte established a new school cricket record by scoring an all time high of 356 against Lalith Athulathmudali MV Mt. Lavinia at Kotte. His 265-ball inning had contained 35 sixes and 20 fours including six sixes in one over.

Before those triple tons, highest innings in under 19 cricket belonged to St. Anthony's Kandy Cricketer Jack Anderson. He scored 291 against St. Thomas. That was the highest innings in any kind of format till 1950s including Mercantile cricket.

Did what?....you mean hit 300 while in School. Both Arjuna & Indika did it.

As a junior cricketer, Arjuna Ranatunga scored an unbeaten 315 for Ananda College against St. Mary’s College Negombo at the Negombo Esplanade in 1976 in an under-15 match. It was also the first triple century in junior cricket. His record shattering performance came in 195 minutes with 12 sixes and 48 fours.
I think Hon TS is accountable only to the Minister of Sports which in itself is a joke because the minister is the biggest joker of them all. Take the so called "district tournament" for an example. It's actually a club tournament in another name.....let's take each district team:

Colombo = CCC
Kalutara = Panadura CC
Kandy = SSC
Nuwara Eliya = Moors
Anuradhapura = Bloomfield
Polonnaruwa = Kalutara Town Club
Badulla = Army
Ratnapura = Lankan CC
Kilinochchi = Saracens
Jaffna = Tamil Union
Puttalam = Chilaw Marians
Kegalle = Colts
Galle = Galle CC
Matara = NCC
Batticaloa = BRC
Ampara = Baduraliya CC
Mannar = Ragama CC
Kurunegala = Kurunegala Youth Club
Hambantota = Kalutara Physical Culture Club
Monaragala = Ports Authority
Badulla = Army
Vauniya = Police
Trincomalee = Air Force
Matale = Navy
Gampaha = yet to be announced

This answers the question why no tamil players are included in the Northern & Eastern districts. Who is TS trying fool with such idiotic tournaments. May be, this is his answer to couple of clubs going to court to stop the much advertised L/O tournament. This could also be the reason for giving more clubs FC status. :Ban:  Sumathi
